I think Carvalho is good enough to start but suspect Klopp will prefer a robust midfield against Everton so Fabinho and Milner plus one other, can't see how Elliott gets dropped with the form he's in.
I don't really agree with this elliott form stuff. I don't see an exceptionally good performance. I see a good performance, I see a high work rate and i see things that are good and stuff that can be improved on . I see a kid getting better with games and showing others what they are failing to deliver. With henderson and fabinho and milner i am seeing a lack of intensity and low play. very much safe passing as well. In short elliott for me, when measured against where we need to be not where we are at, is in decent form but not out of this world. Nobody has shown top form imo. Of course theres no way we should rest the kid who's showing the others how to approach the game but its not stellar, hopefully theres more and more to come from the lad!
I’d assume would be same line up with Milner in for Hendo given the limited options. However wonder if there may be some more rotation given played yesterday, 12:30 kick off on Saturday then play napoli away on Wednesday. Don’t have whole load of options to come in Wonder if carvahlo might start over diaz? Nunez to get some game time second half.
Dont think anyone thinks he’s been out of the world. But he’s looked lovely, has shown nice footwork, and offers some drive from midfield. He’s picked up the ball and ljnked up and actually tried to break the lines with his passing. He has to start, mainly because he’s most in form in that midfield and we have no other options.
Yeah it's not so much the quality that impresses me with Elliott, and I agree he's not world class. It's more the positivity in getting us moving forward and quickly, that's been lacking in other areas.
Never said out of this world form, I just said form. He's playing well and is clearly in better form than the other options.
My point is more in general rather than you, soz. I see a lot talking him up across the interwebs but i think he can do more still.
I can only presume they realise that the people at the back cannot see anything trhough the letter box if they do. Ask one of tour lot that had to sit right.up at the back if the anfield road end lower tier. That hateful view will soon be a bad memory.
