One for City fans to keep an eye on There's quite a bit of noise around Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill, which is understandable given he should really be playing his football in the Premier League. Speaking on Tuesday night, Clarets boss Vincent Kompany said that nothing "outrageous" had been submitted for the 26-year-old, who City sold to Burnley in January 2020. Southampton, Leicester City and Wolves have all been reported as interested parties in recent days but the likelihood at this stage is he'll be staying at Turf Moor. City, of course, hold a 20 per cent sell-on clause of any profit from their sale two-and-a-half years ago, which was in the region of £9m.

Well, I'm ok with this to be fair. Good to keep hold of Semenyo in particular. I suppose if I wanted to be negative we could have done with a big commanding CB/DM to take over the captaincy and organise the back 4 - we've lacked one of those since Carey retired IMHO - and before him Shaun Taylor. Some of the others we've had since have come close, but have never managed to fill their boots IMHO. Those players seem as rare as rocking horse poo - we seem to struggle to get them anyway!.
I didn't think he was as good a leader as the other 2 I mentioned. He had undoubted special talent - a goalscoring defender - but leadership wasn't one of his strongest talents. Only my opinion though - others may disagree.
some interesting additions to teams around us a couple teams almost bringing in a new squad!! LJ [ accused of having imported x amount in his tenure here ] picked up 3 more last minute for Hibs! IMPRESSIVE LIST we have going out on loan .. no where near Chelsea's though!! A few Man U on loan to lower based teams ...
I think Naismith was originally bought for that position with Kalas, Klose and Atkinson in defence. Due to injuries he plays in defence but that was my original thought.
