Yet another one in the craw of the Daily Mail (and whoever it was that leaked that story to them, if anyone).
This post has aged quite well. Although you can remove Djenepo from the "players to get rid of" list.
Anyone changing or adding their vote in the light of what seems to be one of the best transfer windows in the EPL?
I don't think Ralph gets credit for this window tbf, not much to do with him what we spend! What it has done has put the pressure on him but also given him the tools to succeed. Whilst we spent nothing at all, survival was enough. I think now we have invested £80m, SR will want to see clear improvement.
Nope. I based my 'Ralph Out' vote on the course of a pretty poor 6 month period. I'm not going to change that based on 5 early games and, potentially (keyword there) a good window. If, at Christmas, we're looking good, by all means I will, again, take a balanced view over the past 6 months or so and make a judgement. I'm not just going to flip-flop between being in or out everytime we have a good or bad run. Best to consider a larger picture (as I did when I voted for him to be 'out')
What I've done is added an additional choice to the poll: "unsure" as there's probably quite a few people in that boat.
Changed mine to unsure. Am hoping the good form continues and I can revert to Rinner status. If we reach the word cup lower mid table (or higher!) then the board’s decision is vindicated.
Ralph has been fully backed now. I know we didn’t sign a striker back up, but we have finally spent premier league level money. It’s up to him to prove the doubters wrong now. Beating Chelsea was a huge step in that direction. Need to keep the performance intensity up and keep players in their correct positions and I’m sure everyone will change to ‘Ralph In’ again. Everyone wants him to succeed. He is a great bloke. One of our most likeable managers ever. And I hope this window proves that he was also a genius on a tight budget.
Jeez I can’t even remember where I was, can’t be bothered to look but in my view it’s dead now & im surprised it’s still taking air. Things are dynamic & fluid. It’s a new season & as always we always look for the positives, we’ll me anyway. Great season start, newbie’s are storming it, Ralph’s s tactical genius with back 4 & has even been subbing well. A good even very good transfer window. Things are very, very rosy ……
I changed my vote to unsure, because I'm fickle and hard to please. We've had a great window, now we get to see what Ralph can do I guess. Looks to me like Joe Shields was the best investment the club could have made, jury is still out on Ralph.
Ralph seemed delighted in today's press conference when he spoke about the summer as a whole. Singled out the execs, senior management and his coaching staff for thanks, name checking them all. Said it had freshened up the group, 10 ins and 11 outs which is difficult to do in one window with a clear strategy and that the mood in training was good and the quality and energy was lifted. He seemed a bit reinvigorated!
Based on our fantastic player and staff recruitment, part of me is eager to know what our manager recruitment would be like. Not that I want Ralph to fail of course.
