always a positive spin. Didn’t see the game.

is BR the man to lead the club out of this mini slump in your opinion or have the club taken a risk not backing him and could be looking at giving a new bloke cash for January?

First big test for the Goons, and let’s face it, it’s unlikely to go well.

Positives to see them have the courage to drop the captain, and also move Ronaldo to supersub, it gives both players time to reflect and what I'd want to see from them is showing encouragement and support to younger players, especially frrom the latter.

But...as the Ole show highlighted, a good team does NOT come at the end of a winning streak.

See here for more detail... https://www.manutd.com/en/news/deta...ten-run-for-man-utd-after-international-break

    Quote:

Solskjaer memorably began his reign as United manager with a morale-boosting 11-match unbeaten run that included 10 wins. The Norwegian followed that up during the 2019/20 season by masterminding a 19-game stretch that set a new club record in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

There are clear and obvious differences that no stat will ever pick up.

Solskjaer came in as a club 'legend' and just gave the "we're United, so......." rally cry that most players bought into for a while.

Had no coaching nous, no management nous, no actual coaches. So it went to **** when the feel good bollocks wore off.

    Ten Hag is different.

Early day's yet, but he has a clear plan, has an actual coaching team, and has identified and recruited his own players, while not bowing to big names.

    Looks promising.

Yeah, but Ollie was basically Harry Potter. Once the magic wore off, he had nothing left.

I see Man Utd have Arsenal at home next, should be interesting, will Arsenal drop their first points of the season in maybe a draw.
