Birmingham are set to sign Tahith Chong for £1.5m from Man U. Bargain.

 

It shows how few clubs can actually afford a fee like that at this stage of the window

 

They signed Maja as well the other day, not sure where the money is coming from I thought they were skint

 

Maja fell through in the end, he stayed with Bordeaux and took a 50% pay cut on deferral.

 

There are some serious questions being asked about where this money is coming from. Some suggestions that money is coming from new owners not yet in place.

There is also some debate whether they will pass the fit and proper test as there are some possible Russia links/money.

EFL might have a field day with this further down the line.

It is quiet at the moment but there will be some fireworks later this evening if we manage to push through the ones we want. It could potentially be a very good day for us.

Deadline days for us anyway always seem to be like this. You don't tend to hear much until 4/5. It's not like the PL where the media focus is much greater, and they're all so busy that not much usually gets leaked yet
