We'll be signing Sinatra next...... Perhaps we'd all better join the ITK message board - they may have it on there.
Same board now suggesting we’ve put in a loan bid for Cameron Archer - maybe another string for our bow up front Only time will [William] Tell
I was happy to go with what we had because the potential is there but I am pleased for all those who wanted two strikers. Let`s hope we can string a few good wins together but whatever happens try to pull in the same direction.
We'll be signing Niall Ranger on Loan with quips like this!! Though I truly hope we don't make any overtures in his direction.... (I'll get my coat )
We scored 4 goals in 7 games and Hugill scored 4 goals in 19 games those are the facts. I was not the one comparing 10 players over 7 games giving a strike rate of 1 goal in 17...or do you agree with that comparision or do you agree with my factual statement.
It's you that's making the comparison otherwise why mention those diverse figures between an individual player and whole team? The "factual statement" as you put it is meaningless in it's own context and has no substance. I'm begining to come around to Bluey's original post.
Your statement is factually correct but is not a fair comparison. My comparison is tongue in cheek, see the 3 ROFL's at the end. I like a bit of irony. In 7 games this season we have scored 4 goals. None by a striker. What we have in our supposed strike force is simply not good enough and we no longer have the ability to score from set pieces. If you can't score more than the opposition you will not win games. A poor model if the aim is to win games and progress up the league - or are you happy with mediocrity - or worse? It is obvious to most on here that we need strikers who can score goals fairly regularly. Robinson will help with that. Callum Lang? Where did you see him referenced? I've not seen him mentioned in the places I look. Looking at his track record, his background in terms of levels played at is hardly better than Watters. Should we gamble on another one from lower leagues?
I agree with your statement, it is factual. I disagree with your comparison, its nonsense. Building on blue's comparison. To be fair, I'll exclude the keeper as he has very little opportunity to score. So, 10 players for 90 minutes for 7 games is 6300 minutes. 4 goals is a goal every 1575 minutes. I accept games go on for 90+ minutes which just makes the goals per minute worse Hugill scored 4 goals in 17 games. 17 games for 90 minutes is 1530 minutes. 4 goals is one every 382.5 minutes. I also accept that Hugill came on as a sub and was taken off substituted. Therefore he wouldnt have played 1530 minutes, making his minutes per goal lower, so his strike rate better. So, Hugills strike rate is 4.12 times better than the current team. Factually correct, a fair comparison. Starting to think you are a WUM.
Robinson has made six league and cup appearances for West Brom this season without scoring. Should fit in with us then.
Fairly obvious. Just as true to say we'd have won two more games if we'd scored a single goal in each.
