    At least Dirty Leeds didn’t get him. The flight was only for their sporting director to fly home after watching the game last night.
    Let’s hope Gakpo wakes up this morning to the news he’s staying at PSV and think WTF.

    PSV will now probably make him the highest paid player, hoping that dumb ass Utd come in for him next summer for £100 million just like Anthony.

    Potential record deals are always exciting and you can’t help but be dragged in by all the drama, twists and turns, but when it comes down to it, the quieter deals with lower figures and less agent/club greed that we usually do are a lot easier to take in.

    The fact that we were pretty convinced that if he was going somewhere it was to us, but there were also reports that he was basically a done deal going to Leeds makes me think that it was all just PSV wanting more money and trying to play one club off the other.

    According to British colleagues, Southampton was convinced of the purchase of Gakpo for 34 million pounds (40 million euros). Leeds came to Eindhoven via Orta to hijack a deal and offered more. In the end, PSV got away with the proverbial leg. PSV keep Gakpo's legs.

    So do we get his head?

    Most people understand this. Unfortunately there are people out there who will legitimately believe this bid was all just for show and that we knew he’d never come

    I guess this helped by rumours that West Ham actually did try this to placate their fans last deadline day (with late bids for Raphinha and Phillips that would never be accepted)
