Forest had a lot more of a squad to put together. A lot of their players were on loan so needed bodies in the door. On average per player they haven't spent that much, and they'll end up finishing higher than Bournemouth and be much more competitive. Harsh to judge them on games against a side like City when Haaland's in that sort of form.

Burnley seem to be closing on Obafemi from Swansea, so wouldn’t be surprised if Halil ends up here. Hope we have something up our sleeve anyway

I think it's important we keep to our principals.

I'm sure Kouassi was one of a fair few we've targeted though

You certainly wouldn't be betting against Halil being our player by tomorrow.

**** me! Just seen the score.

9 at the weekend, 6 midweek, 9 in Scotland. Makes our defensive wobbles look minor...

And to think Haaland was criticised for a handful of touches a couple games ago.

You'd be surprised if they wanted both.

Brentford can refuse us the option to buy and agree a loan with Burnley, but if he doesn't agree terms... :emoticon-0142-happy

Them going for Obafemi certainly implies it's not done

I wouldn't mind a left back too tomorrow, but I doubt we'll get one

After last night mate I'd sign a new back 5.

Do we know how long Fleming is out for? We've got no cover at all there really. An Elder injury and I imagine we'd be forced to play with either Sinik or Longman at wingback

I thought I saw the Chelsea loanee plus Woods could play full back at a pinch. You wouldn't want that for too long though.

Coyle done OK there in emergencies before. Could also bring McLoughlin in and give Greaves a shot. He's got the attributes.

I thought Simons could play as a centre half but not a wing back.

I don't think Woods could play there either

Woods runs like he's got lead boots, any half decent winger would have a field day

Woods has played RWB before. He ain't a runner though.

Simons has played RB and right centre half apparenty but he's just a kid, needs nurturing and probably not a long term solution to either.

    Credible cover though maybe.

He'd be a peg in a hole. Positiinally adept. Obviously not ideal.

I'm quite chilled about tomorrow, Pelkas and Simons would be fine

    We should be.

We're looking at 15 of a 25 squad as new blood. Gonna take time so mid table is fine by me this year.

Interesting you mention Swansea. We had representatives at them vs Stoke tonight.

The good think about overhauling the majority of the squad now is, next summer we should be able to focus on 1 or 2 quality additions. It's much easier to add the finishing touches to a promotion push, then start from scratch.
