Baath and Evans are excellent at that. Evans looks like a manager on the pitch

I’ll hold my hands up and say I had Gooch written off - but deservedly IMO, he had been poor for a while in league one until the back end of last season. This season he’s like a new player, been one of our best. Can’t fault anyone today other than Patto and his bombscare extra touches then giving them the ball back instead of just clearing it first time.

Thought Clarke was getting frustrated with the lad marking him, he wasn’t great defensively but he was quick and Clarke went down a few times asking for soft free kicks then his quality shone through second half. Some big decisions to be made on how we set up and who starts.

Just back home after the game, good performances all round. Jack Clarke and Dennis Cirkin were brilliant especially second half but Danny Batth MOM for me. We made Rotherham look a very poor team tonight.

They barely laid a glove tonight. Huge shift from the game we played against them 3 months ago

That was a real statement tonight. I can’t remember the last time we had a team with such a strong team spirit and work ethic. Add in the quality and we are going to surprise a few this season.

An even bigger shift from the 5-1 loss ten months ago.

Do we need to talk about Simms? Not very good tonight, wasn't very good against Norwich or Sheff Utd either. Too easily bullied off the ball and too far way from Stewart on too many occasions

First 2 games immense, next 4 less so

I thought he did ok, makes some very clever runs that open up space for others.

I think he's better with balls into feet than up in the air, which considering is height is a strange one.

Think Mowbray will see what we see. Also think he’ll work with him to get what he needs. We have others who can fill that void if he can’t play now so time will tell

Just watched the third goal, Simms run takes another defender out of Clarke's way just before he scores.

Clever play, looks bloody wonderful watching it back

Spoke really well there. Didn't need to mention about young players not worrying if its not with us if they end up playing in the Premier leauge but hopefully with us, but aslong as the fees go back into bringing in replacements.
