To be fair, Son being there left him with no choice but to play it and it was unlikely he could do anything else, so credit to Son.

1-0 HT. Very mixed half, for me. Great to be leading, but we were a bit sloppy. Sanchez and Bissouma picking up cheap, soft booking isn't great, either. Need to improve after the break, as I'm sure the Spam will.
Started well, then var got them back in the game and we could have gone behind, but all in all we have been alright without really catching fire. Looks a bit like Sunday could easily get any one of the 3 results from this one, next goal is huge, may need Richi and Skippy 2nd half.
A better first half than we’ve seen in other games but still nowhere near as good as we can be. Bissouma’s had a really poor full debut so far and being on a yellow I wonder if Conte has an eye on getting Skipp on shortly after HT? That could depend on Hojbjerg though, looked a painful challenge at the end there, hopefully he’s ok to play on. Son again unfortunately looks lost out there, was hoping the goal would be his for a confidence boost but can’t help but feel like he’s a passenger at the moment. Perisic and Kulu impressive so far, Kane and Hojbjerg doing ok too.
Decent first half. I’ve been impressed with Perisic and Royal. Royal improves every game and his play going forwards is so much better. Perisic is on another level though and if we want to really challenge that’s the kind of quality we need all over the pitch. Kulusevski has been dangerous and there have been a few nearly moments for Kane and Son. Saying all that they could easily have scored when We sat back and Antonio hit the post. Stating the bloody obvious the next goal is absolutely vital.
