This is where the Mackems do mental gymnastics to convince themselves they are really happy with this appointment.

He’ll be hounded out before the end of the season.

He'll be able to by Christmas when they boot him out and get a new manager in.
Perfect for his work (a few months)-life balance.

Not bad at all mate. Just struggling for free time, but that's family businesses. So the work/life balance Mr Mowbray was crowing about is a bit of myth in my eyes!

Thoroughly enjoying seeing our club finally be run like a football club with sporting ambitions above financial ones. Howe continues to impress and he's way better than I maybe thought when it was first announced. Having firmly put to bed last year the age old argument that was had about what style of football you can play while trying to survive, he has now set about building us gradually. More than anything though, the bloke seems to have a set of players fighting for the shirt and a togetherness which takes you a long way. Pleased with the transfers and everything really.

I do miss having time to work my ticket across these boards.

    You good?

<laugh> That limp dick is a threat to no man or woman.

That's the breaks isn't it sometimes, I like all the benefits that come with family businesses, so you have to accept the flipside too. Never known anything like this summer in terms of work. Gotta pay for my leccy somehow!

Yeah, it's such a massive difference this time last year. The improvement has been immense. The problem is the rate of transformation just makes you want more, now. Especially in the transfer window. But we need to remember it's a long term project.

And it was all going so well at Leicester...

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, 49, is due an eight-figure compensation package if he is sacked following the club's worst start to a season since 1983. (Mail)

Leicester fans liked to believe they were running on a shoe string and a well run club , but they now realise they are just a **** club that had a miracle.

It's all gone a bit tits up there.

They appear to have been operating a bit outside their means - not to extent of Portsmouth in 2006-09 and the disaster that followed, but it's telling that Leicester sell their best players for a fortune and aren't bringing in proper replacements.

Brendan Rodgers is too much of a media darling manager like Martin O'Neil was, unless they turn it around rapidly, he'll be yesterday's news very quickly.

Reminds me of keegans newcastle except they actually won two pots before it imploded.

It'll now create a legion of fans that start protesting and causing problems because they now expect to do well.

It'll make newcastles job slightly easier which is great.
