He has shin splints, so he's out for a month or two. Not that we'd notice mind, but it does halt any chance of him leaving the club until next window.

Josh Emmanuel seems to have disappeared into a black hole, maybe Scott’s there too!

The Salah injury sounds serious. If it's a 'lengthy spell out' I wonder at what stage we'll see him

Has there been an update on Covil.
He seemed in pain .patched him up then went down again in agony.
Seemed. To be above the knee at the front of his thigh.

Agree, he looked bright on Saturday and this could set back his entire career prospects here now. As someone who’s done it before as soon as I saw him go down after he turned I thought it was a serious one

If that’s true, then we’ll get absolutely battered.

I don’t know if it’s coincidence but Liverpool under Klopp and Leeds under Bielsa tend(ed) to have a lot of injuries compared to other teams. Klopp and Bielsa are both well-known for their rigorous training methods and emphasis on fitness. Could it be the case that Shota is doing this, and the players are just worked too hard and aren’t used to intense training? I’m just trying to wrap my head around why we’ve got so many injuries.

It's not the first time this has happened. Every few years it seems to happen at most clubs. Seems to be our turn again.

Cant see how things would have changed so much since last season under Shota.

We’ve got three players who got crocked before ever playing a game in a City shirt on the books. Lots of players pulling up with strained/torn hammies and other muscle injuries. It’s not normal imo. We’ve had injuries before but the amount and type suggests a common denominator. Marsch actually came out and said that a lot of Leeds’ injuries were purely down to Bielsa’s training methods and that they were ‘overtrained’ and burnt out. I’m just wondering if Shota and his staff have perhaps worked the squad a bit too hard too soon in training instead of easing them into a more rigorous training schedule.

Wasn't it said that the emphasis at the training camps was on ball work and technical rather than hard yards...

Clearly, if they can't get and keep the top players fit its going to be a season of struggle with tough home games and some bummings away from home. But maybe with enough in the building to stay in mid table and comfortably out of the bottom three.
