Why is it taking so long for a work permit?
Others players have been fully registered to play within a day or so of being signed.

Newcastle are still waiting for record-signing Alexander Isak to receive his work permit and it could "go down to the wire" as to whether he plays against Liverpool on Wednesday
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It does make you wonder if there are still some undertones (my perfect cousin, yes I know)
regarding Newcastle from the governing bodies
doesn't seem to drag on with other teams players

Klopp on Newcastle breaking into the top six: "They will be the next team to do it, if Eddie [Howe] gets time, and I'm not sure he needs another transfer window, but they will definitely be there and that is the football world we live in.

"Newcastle is a great club. They've had success in the past. They have everything you need to be a top six club."

I think we may end up getting hammered tonight tbh. Big time.

No wilson, bruno, ASM and may even no trippier. Targett not fully fit we may plan Burn left back against ****ing TAA.

I don't see us scoring and will prepare to get raped vs their midfield.

Thought Targett only had dead leg so not sure why he wouldn't be fully fit?

Assuming Tripps doesn't play maybe move Shaer to RB if Manq not ready with Burn/Botman at CB

Fraser on the wing for ASM, if we go with Wood to start we might as well have someone on the pitch who can sling a cross over ....

I think we will probably lose but we are a tight defender normally so I can see it being 2/3 maybe.

You never know. We could get lucky.

Maybe but I doubt it. Liverpool look back on form, they have Fabinho back and we have so many out injured now.

Not a chance in hell with the front 3 we'll have

    Almiron-------Wood------Fraser
    ---Joelinton-Longstaff-Willock--
    Burn----Botman-Schar----Trippier/Manquillo?
    ------------------Pope---------------

**** me that's going to get raped so ****ing hard.

It doesn’t look great no. But we can keep the score down I believe.

Liverpool just hit everything in the net against Bournemouth.

    0-3

Come on Tash. Nick Pope to play a worldy and prevent 37 shots on goal, followed by Wood tripping over while taking an air shot and hitting it in off his backside as he falls over - for the win. <diva>

Another free swing, a point would be a huge result, Klopp may rest a few but their squad depth is probably to much for us.

    I'd go:

    Pope
    Schar Botman Burn
    Manquillo Longstaff Joelinton Targett
    Almiron
    Isak Wood

Darlow, Trippier, Lascelles, Lewis, Anderson, Longstaff, Willock, Fraser, Murphy, Ritchie

Sit in, go long to Wood to flick on for Isak, try and nick a point. Almiron pressing their pivot midfielder and then overloading ball side, back three to sit narrow and press out to the wide forwards Dias and Salah when they receive the ball.

They've got Everton away on Sat then Champions League following Weds, so possible he'll rest a few but yes, some decent talent in the squad as well .....

I actually like that lineup and formation for this game and would proper throw a spanner in.

But there is talk of Isaks work permit still not being through.
