Is Pep roulette the one where you rest a world class player and replace him with another world class player? I think we're in the process of ordering the game to try and play it, but not all of the pieces have turned up yet - so we can't!

Yes we can, because if we don't, then we could very well end up missing key players for a long time.

 

If someone isn't 100% fit then they don't play. However, all fit players should be considered for the next game (whoever it is against) and Eddie picks the team most likely to get a result.

 

I never said anything that contradicted this did I? I specifically mentioned injuries and injury risks.

Yes but you have to take into account each individual player and their specific risk of injury though.

I'm not saying a fully fresh and fit squad shouldn't play because it's Liverpool and a likely loss, I'm saying manage resources and if you've got players that have recently played 3 games in 7 days, and were holding their hamstrings and were carrying knocks, then you have to weigh up RISK vs REWARD.

It's up to eddie at the end of the day, I don't know how bad they are, but I'd be very disappointed if we risked them for an away Liverpool tie.

I know anyone can get injured in any game, but some are clearly more at risk than others if they have shown recent signs of fatigue and injury.

Playing players who are currently injured/fatigued can make their situation worse and aggravate their injuries.

You have to weigh up risk vs reward.

Wrong, because sometimes Wilson will show recent signs of injury, and sometimes he will not.

If he's got any sense then he won't read it, but that doesn't stop it being a ****ish move on the part of those posting those comments. It's also not unreasonable for him to follow the club's twitter which means he can't even use twitter without risking at least a couple of those comments popping up on his screen when he logs on. It would be just as valid to tell those fans that if they don't want to watch him play then don't watch Newcastle again just in case he is in the team.

 

When were these times that Wilson was not recently injured that you speak of?
