Match Day Thread Tottenham Hotspur v Nottingham Forest

Has to start for a few games.

 

For all their good, Forest didn’t create many proper chances. Think sometimes playing on the counter exacerbates when passing isn’t quite right as comes straight back.

Sanchez mom today, really good performance considering Davies was awful and wouldn’t even know if Dier was playing due to all their play being out wide.

I think it was due to celebrating amongst the fans, causing some of them to jump over the barrier onto the pitch.

 

People have been doing that for years now without being booked. Massively inconsistent.

I think I might have watched a different match to other people here today. I thought it was a good game and I enjoyed watching Forest and I think that they will be a good side to watch, but I think that Conte will be pleased that we played the football that he wants in the main today. I thought that we gave the ball away a little easily at times but Hugo had a fairly easy afternoon with our defenders all making good blocks and denying them space in the box.

Another clean sheet with big Dave in the side and no real heart stopping moments from him today, I thought that Dier gave the ball away the most and that Davies was his usual consistent self. Hojbjerg and Bentancur did their jobs well and if Kane had taken his shooting boots with him we would won more comfortably we were good on the break and created far better chances with less of the ball than they did.

Richarlison was great I love him and hate him in equal measure there is so much to admire in his play and so much that I really don't like to see, but he must get a start soon, though Sonnys record v The Spam may well get him the start again midweek and I thought that he was an improvement from him 2nd half today but that's not saying much, I think his frustration at being subbed is fine as think that its partly because he wants to play, but he is also aware that he is not playing well.

At the beginning of last season , Son lacked confidence and wasn't taking his chances. We forget quickly.
Once he is up and running it will be very different. It will come.

 

I agree. Even funnier is that Kane didn't rush into the crowd - one of our players jumped on his back and the momentum carried him into the crowd.
