2 away games.. a win and a loss is 3 pts wheras two draws would have been 2 pts..

bag it up and move onto West Ham.. some of the fools on RH phone-in are doing my head in..

What have they been saying? I'm guessing it's all knee jerk and saying we really aren't all that good, 9 game unbeaten run hapenned by accident and Pearson should go etc? Do these muppets expect us to be playing like Man City and not losing all season? Part of a good side is learning from defeats like tonight and starting another unbeaten run.

From what i heard they were giving it large even after City won at the weekend. Tossers never go to games either.

I'm as frustrated as the next fan about tonight. The team had a go but we're off the boil a bit like Blackpool. Their keeper was class and made some good saves, particularly from Fryatt, who was hot and cold but at least he scored, it might make a difference.

A defeat was bound to happen sometime within the next few months anyway.

I think it should stop all the promotion talk and re direct our sights on just winning games.

    Hope the boys come good.

agree about the knee jerk, from somebody who has admittedly been quite negative about a lot under pearsons reign, even i found them embarrassing.
it was a strange game really, could have been 4-4...unusually open at the back, but had loads of possession and half chances, bit too wasteful at times tho..my worrry is still what it has been all along, i just dont think our strikers are good/consistent enough compared to the other top teams, but that hopefully that will be rectified in january.
all in all, i thought we where fairly unlucky 1 defeat in 10 still isnt too shabby, you could look at it 2 ways, its frustrating to lose to a poor team, but at leat we didnt lose to a top 6 "rival" if thats what you want to call them..

Did Basso's injury have anything to do with their goals? He went off pretty soon after. Also does anyone know how Gulacsi played for his 20 minutes?

dont know if he was injured during the 2nd goal, he did drop a routine shot which was straight at him, so he may have been struggling........gulasci was almost involved in a calamity incident when chester backpassed it to him, he dropped on it to pick it up, realised he couldnt, and knocked it stright to there strikers feet..but to be fair it was a stupid backpass in the 1st place, was only about 5/6 feet from him..

Just got back from the game, it was an entertaining game could have been 4-4 at half time. Can't complain about the loss Barnsley played attacking wing play and Rosser was too far out of position too many times because we also went for it. So for me the game was too open, a bit more of Nigel's conservative approach might have lead to a different result.

Highlight of the game was Mcleans overhead kick off the bar, it was soooo close to a once in a lifetime goal! It was always gonna be tonight.

As for the dickheads moaning on here and the radio, we all know they are seriously affected by their own inadequacy

jobbo, do you think it was a penalty? hard to tell from our end, but it looked a blatant dive to me, thought he had blew to book him.

Cheers. I hope Basso's injury isn't bad enough to keep him out against West Ham, we can't afford to give them easy chances.

I have to admit (and I'm as biased as they come) I thought Brady looked like he wanted the penalty before he tried to take the man on. He was generally crap tonight, he didn't help Rosey one bit (who was getting well pissed off about it) and insisted on trying to take the full back on at walking pace every time. he seems to have Mendy-itis, thinking he's so good he can just walk past players now. Needs a good kick up the arse.

As a team we were too slow attacking tonight, we had the chances to be ahead in the first half but we just slowed everything down instead of going for the kill like they did when they had a similar opening. We missed a bucketload of chances, Fryatt and McLean each had one decent effort out of about 10 between them. Oh and when you only get one penalty a decade, it's best to score the bastard.

If our squad wasn't looking so paper thin at the moment I'd want Brady dropped (assuming Brady did actually dive). Diving has no place world football.

I think I commented on this the other week as well, but for all the plaudits Brady gets how many goals has he scored or created?

In recent home games he's been fantastic. He created the Cardiff winner and scored the Reading one, but it just seems to be away games where he can't be arsed. He undoutbedly has the skill and can certainly create goals but he needs to go back to beating full backs rather than just expecting them to get out of his way.

I wouldn't say he's been fantastic as he's looked a little off the boil recently compared to some of pre season matches. Cardiff was probably his last decent match.

I was speaking to some Barnsley fans on the way out the ground and they thought that Brady was by far our best player.

It's funny how easily some are impressed with a few step-overs.

I thought he was poor last night.

    And on Saturday.

And on the Saturday before that.....

I can see what they mean, it's clear as soon as he recieves the ball that he has the quality, but he just seems to want to make the full back look silly by going round him as casually as possible. All he needs to do is start working his arse off again like he was a few weeks ago (both in attack and defence) and it'll come back.

2 weeks ago everybody was saying brady should be the priority in January! Is that not the general opinion now I wonder?
