I think Woods only going be useful in the cups. You're right though he's designed for 4 4 2 with wingers that cross early
https://www.footballfancast.com/new...chris-wood-wolves-premier-league-magpies-howe Says it all really. Shouldn’t be anywhere near a toon top now. Thanks for the memories (hmm) but time to go.
When you're nervous about the match you think it was a cracker. I thought it was a good game of football sure all the neutrals think it was ****e.
I've not really had access to reception all day so been difficult to follow the game. 1-1 away to Wolves seems like a decent result at the end of the day with the players that were out. Very obviously seriously lacking in squad depth but I seems we are better able to hang in there when it's difficult. Still a very good start to the season.
Loving some of the max hate on this thread. Wood was ****, Almiron created one good chance, Willock misses a sitter, longstaff does **** all. ASM is our only hope sometimes. No wonder he doesn't want to pass when he's playing next to wood and almiron.
So true. That’s probably the reason why Max don’t pass half the time cause half the players are running around like headless chickens. Max is our get out clause.
I think Max has actually improved over the last 6 months or so. He does pass more often usually, and his crosses/final 3rd passes are better. Without Wilson and Bruno, what motivation does Max have to ****ing pass to anyone? Wood is ****ing ****, Willock and Joelinton rarely score.
Who was really that good up front for us though? Wood is ****e. Almiron works hard but rarely creates anything. I don't see why ASM deserves more stick because he's definitely the most creative player in our side.
But that's the point, he is capable of that magic even having a poor game, the likes of Almiron aren't.
