the OG? Nope said at the time if diaz was offside when ball was played then he’s 100% interfering with play as without him there, defender doesn’t have to slid in.

However, seem numerous of those type of goals given over last few years so they’re at least consistent in giving them, but that needs a rule change tbh.

Reminds me of the Lovren one v spurs numerous years ago where he tried to block a pass through to Kane, only got small touch on it, and Kane who was miles offside then went and scored

No, I was certain it was going to be chalked off. The defender has to get something on it to prevent it going to Diaz who is in an offside position.

How good was that carvahlo goal btw? The pass from TAA… sublime. Then the touch from tsimikas to lay it off first time, got bit lost in all the number of goals but was wonderful goal

    According to the rules: goal.

According to pretty much any football fan: Offside.

As @InBiscanWeTrust said, at least they're consistent with it, but like the Kane goal against us and one Salah scored a year or two back, that's how it's interpreted, even though everyone would say he's Interfering with play otherwise the defender wouldn't go there.

In laws down for the weekend but got the game on some dodgy stream. Need to shake it off and just get 3 points against Newcastle.

Yeah, I remember about three seasons ago that one with Lovren slicing the ball with Kane two yards behind him in an offside position. I raged against that but conceded it was a very silly rule , but it was the rule. But I did think they'd changed the rule. That said, I think the goal Real had disallowed in the CL final was daft, as Fab definitely went for that ball, even if it came off the other leg than the one he went for the ball with.

he didn't score - Karius brought him down for a pen that he then saved.

It was only Bournemouth, but that's the attitude that's been lacking in the last three games. Improvement across the board. Elliott has been excellent as has Diaz and Carvalho looks like he has huge potential. Good win in the cricket too. Top day for RHC <laugh>
