Went Stoke last night and what a game , we played brilliantly. Anyway just been thinking , basically when we are winning in the early periods of the game , (like last night) i find myself wishing that the game would end so we get the points , however not taking into account that i should actualy enjoy the game whilst its on and take into account that i had travelled miles and spent a lot of money . Next thing you know your on your way home and then have another week till the next game. Its so hard to actualy enjoy the match and make the most of it . See what im getting at ?

Always get that feeling. For some reason, the game yesterday made me proper nervous, so I couldn't enjoy it. Afterwards though, the mix of relief and happiness is great

I don't think like that until the last ten minutes, when we were 2-0 up I wanted us to keep going forward.

Its because were used to last minute cock ups, i.e, Sunderland away, Spuds at home and WBA 3-3 <doh>

Agree, I cant relax unless we have a 3 goal lead, because when we have a 2 goal lead there's often still time to concede 2 or 3. The West Brom game last season has scarred me.

As soon as they scored my arsehole was twitching like mad. When Demba got his third I relaxed so much it pretty much prolapsed!

I've watched Newcastle for a long time now, I've seen us snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on many occasion, and i still get really nervous before a match and when we're winning. I tend to go to the bog quite a bit as we always seem to score when i'm not watching, complete bollox i know as i saw all 3 goals against stoke:) It's been good this season not to concede 1 or 2 in the last 10 mins, does my head in!!!...and i really like that massive cheer in the pub when we score, it's like 'GET IN YOU F****** BEAUTY'

I was nervous before the game on Monday but when we went 2 - 0 up i was relaxed, then Stoke got it back to 2 - 1 and the nerves started to creep back, but we got the 3rd goal and killed the game off.

    I'm nervous for Saturday now.

I'm ****ting myself for Saturday. A look at the table says we should win the game, but we're Newcastle United and nothing is ever quite that straight forward.

Yeah, I was going to do a thread on it earlier but couldn't be arsed.

Wolves should've had one, and then Spurs, Blackburn and Stoke all got one. 3/5 but should've been 4. We don't need to be giving teams a helping hand like that.
