    Right, well....
Really impressed with the lads today. Che, Moussa and AA all had really good games. We really deserved something from that. Utd are ****ing pathetic. The time wasting started at 65 minutes! Constantly fouling and had the ref nicely in their pocket. A lot of really bad calls from him today, should have just pulled on their away kit.

Why, with the club having their teddies out of the pram about Itchen North are away fans still getting in with ****ing flares??? 2 were kicked out behind me (Kingsland) actually wearing Utd tops. Stewards need to get their **** together and quickly

On a final note ABK is ****ing brilliant. Brilliant brilliant brilliant signing. Great to see the legend that is Lyanco get on to

Sounds like the players aren't playing for him then? Or,

Sounds like someone who is a disgrace to the journalistic profession, again, didn't actually have a story to tell??!!

Well done SAINTS and hard luck not to get at least a point

Agree the new signings are a breath of fresh air. Still think we need a playmaker though.

Too early for me though to judge Ralph yet. I held off til Xmas last season and will be doing the same this season. Do I think he’s done well in the first four games? He’s done okay.

Man Utd, despite winning, we’re bang average today. I think most teams in the league would have got a result.

Disappointed to lose a very even game.

Best side in the first half, but United a lot more structured in the second.

Lack of cutting edge cost us in the end, but a good performance.

Adam Armstrong and Djenepo had another excellent game on the left, Adams causing all kinds of problems, Aribo with magnet feet.

Big improvement from Salisu and ABK.

Lyanco is the spiritual successor to Steven Caulkers spell at Liverpool….

Only downsides were the lack of finishing and I thought JWP didn’t have a great game, but I suppose he can be forgiven overall.

    Upward performance trajectory.

I think if you bring in someone that can really dicate the play instead of playing Moi then it's a different result myself.

Felt like our best home performance for ages. Didn't deserve to lose, everyone put a shift in. Probably Adam Armstrong's best game for us.

So much to be pleased about.

But in remains painfully clear that we still need a striker, and probably another attacking option too. Not just to improve the first XI, but to add overall depth to the squad (once we had brought on Stu and Mara, that was it really. Nine subs and yet only two attacking options within them.)

I agree, I would never buy that paper and have no interest in their online version, they were after a cheap scalp but Ralph didn't give them one. The dressing room rumours, would have put a lot of pressure on players and the manager but again Saints are showing strength in unity on the pitch. The next thing the journalists will be doing is spreading transfer rumours trying to sell all the kids we just got.

So the combination of 55" and underwear didn't do the trick today. What's up for Tuesday?

Just got back so I'll sum up my thoughts. The only bad thing about today is the result and maybe our finishing as well. Everything else was great. We've got a really talented team here and a couple more additions will make me really excited. HUGE shout out to Moussa as well. As someone who has constantly said there is talent there even I will admit I didn't see him shining at LB. ABK and Salisu are going to form a monstrous CB partnership. Lavia just continues to shine - he's going to a special, special player in 5 years time. Lucky Belgium. Oh and bring on Chelsea.

I didn’t have luminous yellow in my selection. It’s all good.

I wonder if Lavia will make a late surge for Belgium’s World Cup squad? Difficult to see city not taking him back in two years but that was what we agreed to if it happens

In the White Star, cannot be arsed to read the thread (sorry, not being belligerent). Thought we played pretty well, deserved a point, Moussa had a great game at LB (never thought l would ever write that). The youngsters performed well, Aribo was however ineffective. Sorry Che, but we need a quality striker.

Huge shout for the PA at half time playing Oasis - that was brilliant!

Enough on this subject. Lost but pleased with the overall performance.

Shame it took Ten Hag all of 2 games to work out Maguire was the weak link at the back.

Harsh on the team, and deserved something. Good performance. Only thing is maybe getting more support for Che at times.

Yeah we were a bit unlucky that they worked out their good team before they got to us.

Agreed. Another observation; not many offensive options on the bench, which I think is rather telling. Both were used & thereafter it was Lyanco!? Very surprised Redmond wasn’t available? And if it’s not then we really need to strengthen.

Or add Ballard and/or Edwards on the bench at least as options
