Another good performance against a promotion favourite. We have to start taking chances though, especially in our home games
Proud of the effort today strength on the bench the difference, well that and actually using the bench
That should be kicked into touch when the new man arrives, no more of AN’s crap tactics at the end of a match.
Both times Coventry and Norwich made subs and went up a gear. We dont have the luxury. Or don't trust who is there so we make the same embo sub every day.
doubt that would have been much different if AN had been there... cannot fault the players there, on another day that was a comfortable 3 or 4-1 win and it was not even a classic goalkeeping performance, think he only made a couple of saves all game while the rest were 'saved' by hanley or the woodwork...gutted to lose that one, thought we deserved a lot more from that game mind. nowt on the club site about michut (unless i missed summit) but the sky cameras picked him and bennette out in the crowd.
Strange feeling, both deflated and proud at the same time. It was always going to be a tough game even with no disruption so I'm not surprised we lost but we didn't deserve to. I think I'm mainly pleased with the performance, we were superb until we ran out of steam. Bit more attacking quality on the bench and a manager who makes subs proactively and we'll be rate.
Needed fresh legs five minutes before they scored, we competed well until we ran out of steam again..no luck in front of goal and we go again Wednesday, proud of the lads today, nobody sulked.
So we’ve lost two games to the teams sitting first and second in the division. Nothing to be suicidal about. But the next seven days will be huge.
Crying out for another option up top and in central midfield can’t expect evans to play 90mins Saturday Tuesday all season, that said I though Dan Neil was excellent today
I am choosing mot to blame Canning for the subs, but I am blaming Alex Neil. He has been useless this season in the main with subs, and todays were pretty much a carbon copy. Lets hope the new coach is aggressive and proactive. Those lads today ran their arses off for us. Onien was immense. Evans Neil and Pritchard were playing a brand of football that is worth the entrance money. The fact we tire after 65 mins or so is something for the new coach to work on. One minor Niggle for me is Simms first touch, it looks like he can take too long to get the ball under at times. I am giving MOM to Luke, looked like a big Alex who performancd from him - was class.
Played ok but didn’t take our chances, simple as that. Subs were way too late as the players looked shattered
