https://www.footballfancast.com/wol...ao-pedro-wolverhampton-wanderers-raul-jimenez rumour, rumour rumour!
Bidding war! Wolves just spent big money on 2 players. Is an agent trying to tout Pedro around to get a sale ?
Re Kamara deal, Pussetto is in his 3rd season on loan from us at Udinese isn't he? Not much has ever been made of that deal, it's just vice verca
No howls of protest about Sparta Rotterdam either, when they accepted £6m from us for Okoye then took him him straight back on loan. Nor about Udinese who recently accepted £21m from Spurs for Destiny Udogie and did the same. It's a commonplace transaction in football - yet apparently is only a problem when it happens between us and Udinese? Funny that...
I do have a problem when big clubs do this on such a scale. It seems it is more financially prudent for them to have them on loan and see who comes good, than buying quality at a higher price. I suppose there is a counter argument that they have better facilities to make sure they are on track to succeed?
They stock pile them so other big teams cannot get the young players . But probably have no intention of ever playing then.
I see we're now being linked with Bristol City's Ghana international striker Antoine Semenyo. With the fee supposed to be £12m - I somehow doubt it.
It's an income stream. Last time I saw official figures it was 63 players. We are mini Chelsea in that respect aren't we? I doubt any of us could name all of those players we buy to loan out? It's not a small number but it gives us an income stream and a possibility of big numbers if any of them turn good
I know some Newcastle supporters, we can send them photos of Joao in the Watford Centenary kit as a consolation prize
https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...ad-coach-discusses-hornets-transfer-dealings/ Has the method of recruiting changed? Not sure how different it is in reality.
Probably not - and what hasn't changed is the possible last minute scramble to replace departing players. Losing Dennis was probably a blow, but a timely one as we may have found a more than adequate replacement with Davis - losing Sarr or Pedro with only a few days of the window left is not so timely.
Apparently we are "in the race for" a League 2 ace... Ayoub Assal of AFC Wimbledon - a midfielder, not the goalscoring ace that we really need. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/p...n-qpr-and-watford-in-race-for-league-two-ace/
