Nearly 20m for maguire and then had to hand hull a sell on fee of 15-17m. so that money for maguire took a similar hit as it did for Fofana. Are Leicester getting full transfer value in their deals?
Leicester had to give a sell on percentage on Maguire and Fofana. Surely United are only keeping Maguire as Leicester have a 50% sell on clause?
Wow That's some spin. Remember when you told us that you'd be the first to let us know when you were wrong about something. Well here's yet another example Flos
Fosse's wake will be held on Saturday 27th Aug at 8pm in the Not606 halls of remembrance Bring nibbles, cheap wine and your best **** jokes as we remember the passing of not606's own David Brent.
Mentioned it on a thread on our board, that they remind me a bit of Leeds circa 2002. They had a couple of seasons in the CL, thought they were in for the big times, so spent massively on wages and then couldn't sustain it when they dropped out. Eventually had to sell all of their best players and then sank like a stone. I'm not sure Lesta will fall as far as Leeds did, but with Fofana gone, Maddison looking for the exit and Fosse better pray to every ****ing deity that he knows that Tielemans doesn't join Arsenal, along with an ageing Vardy an improving West Ham, Newcastle, Palace, Brighton etc, then the picture looks bleak for Lesta.
I don't think he realises that despite his club's great achievements it hasn't cemented their position in the Premier league. They're in a relegation battle this season for sure .
First Fosse said Leicester would only sell who the wanted...then said that Fofana would only leave if they got more than the £80 million they got for Maguire...now he says £75m is more Leicester have massively over spent on wages and are in serious danger of doing a Leeds..or Wednesday...or Blackburn...or old Leicester...or southampton...or charlton...or bolton...or ipswich...etc etc if they do not handle this situation well.
Nope...the fact is that a club can not financially function spending 95% plus of it's income on player wages. Eventually it has to catch up with them. Another fact is that St Etienne are owed a sell on fee so Leicester will not make anywhere near the amount they made on selling Maquire. Another fact is that there are just 5 and a half days left of the window. You are looking like you will lose Fofana and Tielemans and replacing them will be difficult in such a short time...and without overpaying as clubs will know you are desperate and have money coming in. Another fact is that you lost your keeper and replaced him with someone who is currently inferior ... this has already cost you points. Him aying with a rejigged defence is not going to help. Leicester have done brilliantly over the past 6 years but they gambled on getting top 4 and throwing it away 2 years in a row has come back to bite you financially. Winning the fa cup was great...I wish we had done it but not at the risk of doing what Portsmouth and Wigan did after they won it. The next 12 months could be very difficult for Leicester
They also rely heavily on Vardy. He has been exceptional for them. Makes them incredibly difficult to play against but the last couple of seasons he has had injury lay offs and he is now 35. If they suffer another couple of bad results the rot could really set in.
If you’re lucky your owners (who look like they’ve checked out) might give you £20m of it to spend on a replacement.
I want Fosse to remember when he refused a peace treaty and that he's made what will undoubtedly prove a mistake.
Came here to read the spin. Was not disappointed. Could attach him to a generator and it would solve Britain’s energy crisis
It will be trumped by Gordon to Chelsea for 50-60m if that happens. I don’t think I have read of a worse piece of transfer business ever. Apart from Carrillo to southampton for 19-20m. But that is lower profile so doesn’t jump out to most people
The various reports are saying the full fee will be a new record for a defender ... the current record is the £80 million for Harry Maguire ... so if this is to be a new record .. guess what?
