That's not accurate. David Moyes come in and spent more than any other manager we've had in one transfer window including breaking our record transfer fee.
Yeah but he didn't buy M'Villa and chose N;Djong (or whatever his name was) and immediately started talking about being in a relegation battle (like after game 2 of the season or something). After Allardyce it felt like a let down.
It was a massive let down. Ultimately, he never wanted to be there and should have done the decent thing and walked. He's been the worst manager for us that I've seen in my lifetime.
Can't disagree. It's odd given that I'd generally say he's an excellent manager, I just think that following Man Utd you guys got a broken version of him.
Big Al giving the big insight into the deal. £70m, not £75.m. great negotiation from the selling club.
Apparently it is £70 million up front with add-ons that will make it a record for a defender ... therefore over the £80 million for Maguire ... ... and also 'apparently' there is an incoming replacement that was being lined up for some time ... who knew? Sorry to see the lad go ... genuine quality and Chelsea have got some player ...but at that money ... fair enough
