When people say treating him like this is "disgusting", what do they object to? Krul is a better keeper and he's happier playing regular games than occasional bench apps for us.

I love Steve Harper, but I think its time he moved on. Krul will be number one for years to come and we have some great young keepers coming through

Please elaborate. You think we should play him ahead of a better keeper? Or force him to play reserve games instead of help Brighton push for promotion and play games?

He asked Sir Bobby if he could go out on loan loads of times, but SBR told him to stay.

Its a funny one because he could have been number one for somebody his whole career and he decided to stay. Maybe he fell in love with the club and decided he wants to be here for ever or maybe he didn't have faith in his own ability

I don't see anything wrong in the current situation re Harper.

Krul is holding down the first team place on merit and should be allowed to keep it so long as his form continues. Harper needed match practice after returning from injury. If he chooses to stay at Brighton in order to get regular games then best wishes go to him. But I don't see where anybody has done anything wrong. I certainly don't see why anybody would think he has been treated badly.

You think I dont care about Harper or appreciate 18 years of service? **** off. Just because you cant think of a single reason for your point doesnt mean I'm being harsh.

I think he was one of the 'old guard' from Hughton's time here - Harper, Smith, Nolan, Barton & Carroll were all sounded out as the main men in the dressing room.

Just Smith left now... he doesn't feature near the first team as far as I can tell - his contract is up this summer I think.

Pardew has his way of running things and will not stand for anyone trying to shout over him. I think he's removed the characters that were seen to be disruptive to what he wanted to achieve in the dressing room.

Seems to be working to me!

I think he means that people saying 'disgusting treatment' are referring to the MrTiote who is saying he doesnt give a ****.

    I've confused you <laugh>

You said "When people say treating him like this is "disgusting", what do they object to?" I said, Mrtiote, as in, nobody has a problem with what the club are doing, it's what Mrtiote and holystone said about a player that has spent 20 years with us that is disgusting <ok>

If Harper wants to leave then good luck to him. He deserves first team football and sadly for him he won't get it at Newcastle with Krul performing so well. It's a shame, but there's no room for sentimentality in football.

It's "disgusting" the way he is being looked on by the club as one of the "vocal 4". Him, Enrique, Nolan and Barton. The others have gone, he's next. 15 years of loyal, (not unambitious) service. Arfas left foot, you've questioned him two or three times in this post. He had a black and white heart while you were still in nappies lad.

The first post I made, merely pointed out that he made a huge gaffe on his Brighton debut, and he's never nailed a place down as first choice for us in the Premiership. He has only played 20 games for us in 1 Premier League season. He was fantastic for us in the Championship, but that was the Championship. Even last season i'd say Krul performed better. Sentiment aside, he isn't a Premiership goalkeeper now, and he has never been a top Premiership keeper.

The second post wasn't airing a view, I was just asking for others, I was interested to know the views of others. I'm undecided on it. But there is an argument for both sides.
