Frankfurt, Sporting and Marseille. Bit disappointed at the lack of a glamour tie, we’re the best team in this group I’d say, hopefully we don’t go into complacent though. Whenever we’re favourites in Europe we’ve embarrassed ourselves a fair few times.
I think that our group could be quite tricky, as it's pretty well balanced. Teams should take points off each other, in theory, so there'll be no dead games. We got one of the weakest in Pot 1, but probably the hardest in Pot 4. Lots of rumours of Rapenaldo rejoining Sporting, too.
Yeah guaranteed sell outs but the city will be buzzing for those fixtures. Even watching them in a pub in the city centre will be quality
About time we got the chance to stick it to Marseille for the summer they jerked us around over both Batshuayi and Nkoudou...
Even worse, the BBC got their name wrong and called them "Viktoria Pizen" I don't think the Czech state broadcaster got any PL club names wrong...
The flip side to this is the sheer number of their players that could come back to haunt us. Pau Lopez in goal, Dimitri Payet as captain, Guendouzi, Kolasinac and Sanchez as ex-Goons. They've even got Bailly on loan from Utd and a bunch of other ex-Prem players.
Last time a few of us on here were overconfident about our CL group we got bulldozed by a generational Monaco side On the other hand, when we thought we were doomed we only went and reached the bloody final...
My money is on the Eintract fixtures being rounds 2/6 or 3/4. I hope the former, as it gives Spurs the opportunity to get into them next month (october is a brutal month and the boys could do without the extra stress) .
