I never said the British started it only that they ustilised it to their advantage more than any other nation and sice being responsible for the displacement and oppression of many millions of people cannot suddenly start looking for credit for finally bringing it to an end.

Well, those pics worked well then. It was supposed to be a pic of "Newsweek" with the title, "The Empire Strikes Back" with a picture of an aircraft carrier going down to the Falklands to open a can of whoop ass! Admittedly, it would have worked better, if the pics had worked and I didn't need to explain it here.

 

The abolition of slavery is conveniently put down as a concept started by the Brits, true history shows it was more about strategic retreat than nobler motives

The role of slaves fighting the brits and winning lead to votes in parliament to abolish it

Prior to this the army was used to try and suppress rebellion and try and sieze lucrative colonies like haiti.
