From SSN: Isak lands in Newcastle Alexander Isak has landed in Newcastle ahead of his record-breaking £58m move from Real Sociedad. Isak travelled by private jet, alongside his representatives, Newcastle Sporting Director Dan Ashworth & Head of Recruitment Steve Nickson. Ashworth & Nickson have spent the past 48 hours in Spain agreeing a deal for the striker. The 24-year-old has yet to agree personal terms but it's not thought to be a problem. The Swedish international will undergo his medical this afternoon.
I sincerely hope that you don’t truly believe this Fair chance the deal has a bit more to it than that and likely been rumbling on since earlier in the window.
Nah, I’d say @Roland Deschain hacked the scouts computer systems, but then again he doesn’t know how to open private messages about Fulham tickets on here (That’s a Hint Roly)
The plot thickens! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...reveals-rejected-offer-Manchester-United.html
Has the pace, skills and phenomenal link-up play, I'm sure Howe will improve him even more to his potential. Statement signing!
I love the line "Ten Haag wants to implement a new style of playing out from the back". Wow. Genius. Who ever thought of such a thing, what a mind this man must have...... We've gone one better. We got a 'keeper who can throw out from the back at the speed of light.
Reckon this is correct of everyone. I guess we're sat with Eales working through the finances. Telling that Isak was signed the week Eales joined. It wouldn't surprise me even a little if we announce a new club record signing of Maddison in a day or two. We know the price, it's now about whether we want to spend it. I mean, it looks like Pedro is exactly the same. We know exactly the price, it's all agreed - it's now about whether we press the button or not. This is exactly how City operate. There's no drama, they just get it agreed then either pull the trigger or don't. Now they're richer than God they can pull the trigger every time. We've had to play a bit cannier than that.
I suspect a lot of it is as you say. We probably have our fingers in a lot of pies. And even though the media want to paint a negative picture of us with dirty money. Money talks. Real Sociedad will have thought right ok a reasonable offer of say 70m and we will accept. And we have just negotiated. Isak is the biggest deal we have ever done. And it’s happened without any media in the know.
Loads of so-called 'experts' online already piling in to put pressure on the poor lad and questioning whether it's too much money for Isak, will he score goals, is he the right player for us, blah, blah, blah. I really don't care if he doesn't score loads and loads, or if it takes him a while to settle in. I'll give him my backing. All I care about is the club now really are showing us that we WILL TRY. That they DO CARE. The owners are making a real statement of intent here. Regardless of whether we become 'successful' or not, things are looking good. Both on and off the pitch. That's all I wanted. TOON, TOON..
