I wouldn't mind seeing Man Utd give them a right humping if I'm being honest.

I'm trying to remain indifferent to be honest, although I want us to earn our position through our own efforts, obviously we're part of a league, so the results of every other team will eventually affect us overall.
The best thing that could happen, the big hitters like Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City, will lose the stranglehold that they have at the top of the league.

No, because we're going to beat the top 2 anyway when we play them <diva>

Bruce will deliberately throw this game for two reasons:
    1) We're his main priority, and he'll do anything not to see us 2nd
    2) He'll consider it a down payment of the Man U manager's job he still ridiculously thinks he's going to get

STEVE BRUCE has rubbished suggestions he could be the next Sunderland boss.

And he believes just considering such a move would be an act of betrayal towards his old Manchester United team-mate Roy Keane.

On top of that, Bruce pointed out that a Geordie could never manage the Toon's deadly rivals.

Wigan boss Bruce, whose side take on Arsenal at The Emirates today, said: "Let's nip this straight in the bud. It's a total non-starer.

"I'm very happy at Wigan and if you cut me open I'd be black and white to the core!"

Edit: This was in December 2008.... <yikes> I hope i haven't compromise his mission.

If we beat Everton, then Sunderland draw. We will be 2nd and they will be about 50,000,000,000,000,000 points behind us (roughly)

  11. No, Manure to win. Don't give a **** about 2nd because we'll not be anywhere near there at the end of the season!! I'd like us to keep our distance from the scum <ok>

If us and Manure win, then we'll be 15pts clear of Sunderland <ok>

If we win then somebody put it very elegantly earlier, "5under1and can **** off"!!! If we don't win I wouldn't be upset to see them take a thumping.

Would prefer a draw, if we win. Less points for Sunderland but we'd stay 2nd.

I wouldn't mind Man U losing even more confidence before we face them at Old Trafford, but I don't want Sunderland gaining any confidence either...how about each club picks up a red card or two and they draw 0-0?

I'd be cheering for them regardless, against that horrible rabble.
