I think he sees himself having many years in club management before taking any opportunity to manage England. Hopefully with us. Although I do think he'll get that job one day. I'd just like to state that I've been saying for about 4 years that we should have been looking at getting Eddie in but the timing of his arrival I think has been perfect. It would have ended in tears under Ashley and someone else would have got the benefit. I think he'll end up being one of the best regarded managers in the world.
The second vid is a thing of beauty, the only thing it's missing is a bitter Bruce with his "they replaced me with the guy who got sacked from Bournemouth" line.
Really can't see him leaving for England any time soon with the NUFC project. Anyway, English FA wouldn't be able to afford him vs PIF money.
I can't see him leaving for a very long time. Where would he go? He's got the backing of the club and the fans here and a boat load of potential for growth.
I actually think he’s in the right place for his career. He has moved his family up and apparently so are his assistants etc. They are here for the long haul. He has delivered so far and so are the owners and board. This is brilliant.
Can actually listen to his press interviews without cringing. Comes across as intelligent, considered and a nice guy. I think he might be related to me. See one of the Sunderland fans was saying how much he looked to have aged while he has been with us. I guess thats just because their managers never get time to.
