Theres a few interesting games here. I feel with the compressed first half to season any possible favours we can get will be gratefully accepted. however I'm sure people want us to play bayern for some reason the danger sides are usually 3rd seeds and the usual italian and german teams in there would make this a difficult group. Ac milan? brugges? rangers? and thats just what city put on on their brown envelope
Knowing the way football works you'll probably end up with PSG. I'd be interested to see if you refused an allocation from them after events in May. Would be a powerful statement which would reflect badly on France imo.
Winners do go into pot 1. Losers don't. 1point in league and 1 goal loss in cl final mean we are in pot 2. We gave everything but thems the breaks.
Never get why Europa winners get pot 1. Fair enough they qualify, but as a seeded team doesn't make sense.
Dunno, maybe it seems to be another kind of reward for winning the thing? but it'll produce a totally **** group either way won't it?
Second seed would be appropriate maybe. The best you deserve for winning a second tier pot. To suggest that Frankfurt are a stronger team than Liverpool is plain silly.
The Champions League draw taking place tomorrow at Ataturk Stadium where the Reds won the trophy in 2005 - on Thursday, August 25 at 4pm UK time.
