I see there is a campaign to raise the min wage to £15, which would still leave people with a significantly worse standard of living than 1930s Germany.

Its hilarious that the biggest backlash to this has come from the plebs on £17 an hour, they dont want shelf stackers getting nearly the same as them <laugh>

Well, it would be hilarious if it wasnt so tragic.

You may as well make minimum wage £27 an hour the cost will just be put on the consumer & a large Dominoes pizza will cost £35 .

You got a like from the Spamtard though <laugh>

if your business depends on paying people the minimum possible, you shouldnt have any complaints if you get put out of business, youre not very good at business and should take one of the min wage jobs

the fast food and supermarkets wont go crazy with prices because they are all competing with each other, a big price hike would be suicide

Prices would rise quite a lot as it would hit inflation.
Business has always been pay its staff as little as it can. You would do the same if you ran a business.

Thats true, but most businesses are small.

    On a side note
HGV drivers are now getting paid good money because of a shortage of drivers thanks to the UK leaving the EU, forcing business to pay, so why do you think lefties want us back in the EU?

if the min wage was raised, the biggest hit would be to major supermarket conglomerates and companies like amazon who employ tens of thousands of min wage workers, their profits would barely be affected and they would have no choice but to bite the bullet

the small businesses who cant handle the rise dont deserve to stay in business, thats business

In July, EDF reported a more than €5bn loss for the first half of the year. It is projected to lose over €25bn in the full year. In February, EDF UK reported losses of £21m.

So as usual with you, no facts in evidence. <doh>

With your colossal intellect they should put you in charge of Jockshire. The brightest members of Jock society are currently refusing to empty the bins, so the rubbish must be really stinking the place up more than the SNP manage. They cannot blame the Tories so they are blaming Labour. <doh>
