This is not that much of a second string side. I’m glad he played Bayo and Manaj, but if they can’t do it against this League 1 team…
Still sitting OK in the league ATM. But, firepower might become an issue. All our goals have made a big difference in league games so far. All 4 of them from 5 games, have earned us 8 of our 9 points. We've only let in 2 as well. It might well be a boring goal action season, but ok for points. I guess have to wait till the transfer window closes too.
Some pretty audible booing from the home stands as the Hornets maintain possession but move the ball sideways and backwards - but not too often do they go forward WO
Well the annual early league cup exit.. Rob will be hoping Sarr and Pedro stay whilst Davis and Hause are fit soon .
If tonight's big TUC announcement is a general strike, it looks like our players started it early. Mind you, so did Fulham's - losing at Crawley.
Well that is out of the way. Never liked it since it was introduced to provide a bit of income for teams knocked out of the FA Cup in the early rounds. It has been hijacked. Chelsea v Liverpool are not clubs that need some income.
Give them time - after all, wasn't Ross Jenkins a misfiring striker of three years standing before morphing into a goal machine?
Unfortunately not sure ww have that long to wait and people aren’t so patient! Bayo might be like that but both are 25 so not youngsters. How old was Ross when he joined and was this before Luther/GT arrived to help ?
Signed in 1972 by George Kirby - had just turned 21 I think. Didn't really start scoring regularly until Mike Keen's last season - was top scorer the season Keen was sacked. Age may not be the only factor though - it could also depend on how the coaches compare, as well as the playmakers in the teams. I think we're better off in both now so the 'process' could be quicker.
