Paul O'Keefe claims - with quite a few weasel words, it has to be said - that Winks and Reguillon don't want to leave so are only willing to go at their own pace, rather than on the club's schedule While it has been said since the start of the window that Reggie doesn't want to leave, this feels like either a club-backed hit piece to get them out the door quicker or, just as likely, O'Keefe trying to get some traction with rage retweets
For the spreadsheet-minded among us, here's our wage bill please log in to view this image Sarr is on £3000 a week? Bloody hell, he should sack his agents, as I have regens on FM earning more than that...
A few of these probably need adjusting. Skipp is almost certainly on more since his new contract. I'd imagine Bissouma's will have roughly doubled. A few surprises for me are the fact that Hojbjerg is paid so much and the fact that Soton paid a backup goalkeeper £70k per week?! Although on reflection the latter probably explains the former. I assume they paid Hojbjerg a fortune too and that inflated our offer to him.
If these are vaguely accurate, then : 1, GLC and NDombele have been well managed, in that there must be serious "productivity" bonus triggers 2. Lenglet has been 'wage poisoned' by La Liga (granted he is a Barca player) 3. So has Gil, or we are paying wages that in the context of the squad he has far from justified (in which case I expect to see serious material progress from him this season) 4. Sarr wages have been well managed from the "prospect" viewpoint 5. Lloris and Davies are being robbed
It's worth noting where he ranks in terms of highest-paid GKs 1st, De Gea (£375k) 2nd, Neuer (£325k) 3rd, Oblak (£270k) 4th, Oblak, Donnarumma, Courtois, Navas (£200k) 5th, Ter Stegen, Kepa (£150k) 6th, Schmeichel (£130k) 7th, Lloris, Pickford, Rui Patricio, Henderson, Leno, Szczesny (£100k)
I've said for a long time the £200k often quoted for Ndombele's wages is wrong and have quoted a few sources who put his wages significantly lower, as while Kane and Son take that home every week the only way Ndombele could take home a similar figure is after triggering certain bonuses - and it's fair to assume he hasn't In terms of Gil, I very much doubt La Liga can be blamed for his wages as he was on £8-9k a week at Sevilla, so for us to offer him a 1000% wage increase is a pretty dumb move as realistically the ceiling should be around £40k with a whole bunch of incentives - which also brings to mind signing off on paying Lewis Holtby £65k a week on arrival when he wasn't getting paid anything close to that at Schalke If anyone's getting robbed it's Sarr...although that does at least offset Gil's grossly inflated wage
Quick roundup - Charlie Ecclescake claims that Dan James is more in line with what Conte wants than Malinovskyi - Matteo Moretto claims that Bryan will be arriving in Valencia this afternoon - Alasdair Gold has put Adama Traore back on the menu
Dan James is ****e, I’m not happy the rumours linking him aren’t going away. Spurs dodged a bullet in Adama Traore but signing Dan James would be equally as bad
Been saying that for months. Thought he was the weak link in an otherwise excellent Welsh team. Maybe Ben D rates him?
Ive never liked him or rated him. He’s also a really bad diver too. He’s like a less capable Richarlison
Di Marzio claims that Harry Winks was set to agree to join Sampdoria on loan last night, but has asked for a couple of days before agreeing terms to see if a PL club makes an offer It'd be nice if our Twitter fanbase didn't act like a bunch of ****s when he goes out on loan. They won't, but it'd be nice if they did...
Surely everyone will want him to do well so it results in a permanent move for him and money for the club. Constantly loaning out the same players every summer is time consuming and must bore Paratici who would rather spend time on negotiating for new players
And right on cue... Although I'd take the Forest links with a dash of salt. They're linked with everyone registered as a professional footballer.
The obvious ragebait Paul O'Keefe posted about him the other night underlines there's clicks in slagging off Winksy, and have been for some time
