Papers reporting we have nicked in and agreed with his club to sign him as Liverpool were readying a bid ( yawn) .

Thing is, the only 2 goals I can see on You Tube your granny could have knocked in. Seems to another big gangly lad like Ba/Sammy/MTV Cribs star.

Is he any better than what we have?

Can honestly say I've never seen him play and never even heard of him before we were linked in the summer

    Looks pants on YouTube though

No of course he isnt, if he didnt score a very good goal on youtube then he's no good.

How can we all claim to trust Carr but doubt Maiga so much?

    Improvement over Ba? probably not.
    Over Best? maybe..
    Over Lovenkrands/Ameobi/Ranger? Definitely..

He'll be good competition/cover/back-up/partner for Ba/Best and will keep Ameobi/Lovenkrands out of the first team picture hopefully. Also he can play out wide and in ''hole'' I think, so he's versatile too. <ok>

I'll personally go for a striker with excellent technique, dribbling, passing and someone who has quality pace(ala Obertan) instead of this Maiga fella, but for 6m/7m he doesn't seem that bad.

I haven't watched him so i can't really comment but seeing as Loverman will be leaving soon (surely), Hopefully we'll ship Ranger and Shola's just Shola then i reckon we could do with him coming in

Thing is before we can even see him play properly he'll be off to the ACN.

Why don't we get a non African striker?

I'm scared to think how we'll cope without Ba for 6 games.

What happens if he get injuries during that period?

I would rather we get a little nippy striker (in the same mould as Defoe)

We could play with 1 upfront and Benny in the ''hole'' behind someone like Besty. <ok>

Although I have a feeling Pardew will go back to the old ''Best-Lovenkrands'' partnership, which to be fair isn't that bad.

In the mould of Thierry Henry or Loic Remy... bigger threat than Best but Besty is craftier and a bit stronger.

I meant what if during that period Best/Ben Arfa get injured.

It's just that 6 games can make or break a season , just hope we can cope with the loss of Ba.

Used him on FIFA recently (i know it means little) and he's absolutely amazing! He's fast, strong and a great finisher (i'm shocking and i scored twice with him so he has to be!)

In Carr I Trust! Can't wait for him to join to be honest, will be at the very least, decent back up!
