I like to see all our players that go on to better things do well as it raises our profile and makes clubs cough up bigger sums for our players further down the track. If KLP is another success on the back of Maguire, Robertson and Bowen - premier league clubs are more likely to spend bigger on the likes of Greaves further down the line as we get a reputation for producing good players.
Up and coming young talented players are also more likely to be drawn here because of that reputation.
Aye, the only problem here mate is that Keane Lewis-Potter is nowhere near as good as Maguire, Robertson or Bowen.
You find it funny yet you called him overrated and not ready at every opportunity before he left so surely you were expecting this. Robertson didn’t become a regular in the Liverpool side until December the year he joined
Yes we were near the bottom. If we kept him we wouldnt of been able to get as many new players no wonder your wife shagged your friend
One post about a former player scoring tonight, one of our most notable former players at that, followed by 10 or so posts moaning about it and bragging about how little they care about him but sounding like jealous exes in the process.
I found it funny when he left us and didn’t start his first 2 games for them bet he really regrets leaving us still
Been out all day and just got back. A very quick skim through here and it looks like we've signed Salad Fingers and have offered a contract to Sophie-Anne's Goolie.
KLP was never going straight into their team, Brentford are building a team to improve themselves, same as most teams do. If KLP does well, he’ll get into their team on a regular place. If he doesn’t do well, he’ll see out his time with them & then go elsewhere. Like a lot of City fans, I think he left a season early, but I also think he’ll do well at a team like Brentford as opposed to a bigger team where he wouldn’t even make the bench. Also if he does well, he’ll go for a profit, which in turn will give City extra money.
Yes, the better KLP does the better for us, so I'm a bit confused by people not wanting to know anything about him.
For me, it’s ambivalence. I just don’t particularly care how Brentford or he does. Performance-based add-ons would be nice but I’m not arsed enough to check or care if he gets a game or scores for them. He’s not our player anymore.
Yeah I dunno I don't really get that. I don't just sever a connection to a player as soon as they walk out the door particularly if they were a good player for us. I still enjoy seeing Robbo, Bowen, Maguire (not so much lately) etc. doing well for new clubs (so long as it isn't against us).
She wasn't my wife, they both denied it, and you're a ****. 15 or so points clear. And KLP would improve us. So suck your own dick keyboard warrior.
A lot of that was about add ons though. And England caps. I'd be the same with KLP, but a goal against Colchester? Really? As an indication of goodwill I guess it's fair enough. Seems a waste so far though.
6 year deal always suggested he was an investment though. Facts are no matter who the opponent was tonight out of all the fringe players who played he made the best impression. He was playing alongside some top talents too
Why though? Robbo and Maguire doing well would inevitably mean Liverpool and Man Utd doing well and why would (or should) any City fan give a **** about that?
Yeah. I genuinely hope tha lad smashes it. Just he is better, and we are better than go spunking over a ressies goal against colchester. Just feels sycophantic. He's played 61 minutes of Premier league football. And I'd hope he stayed level headed about it also.
Yeah. Genuinely hope he smashes it. But I'm not spunking over a goal against colchester Would we have sign Salah today if we didn't have a record with the likes of Cooper, Cairney, Brady, Maguire, Townsend, Robertson, Tymon, Bowen, KLP.... All coming through as young uns at this club.? Would we be nicking France u19 keepers and the likes without that? So yeah, our fledglings doing well has a positive light on our club. And opens doors.
