Probably says it all - no one was that bothered and it was potentially a very weak team.

I have read that the current policy is to play much younger players in the U-21 and other teams. The older players are sent out on loan in order to gain experience of men's football. I am not convinced that it is very good for the developed of the younger players to be thrashed every week (as is happening).

More nonsense about the Kamara deal with with Udinese.

"It is creative accounting, but it's allowable and a big benefit of a Multi Club Ownership model. Watford will of course argue that Udinese are owned by a different member of the Pozzo family, so it's all above board, but that argument has little credibility."

Says a University lecturer without actually explaining why it has little credibility. Two clubs, each owned by one of two family members, run as separate businesses - actually common enough in the business world - and working within the rules. He even acknowledges that it's allowable - for others, but seems to object to it being allowable for Watford. I'm aware that he has written a book on football finances, so could it be that he is simply stirring controversy with one eye firmly on book sales?

Where has the story about Pedro and his injury come from? There do not seem to be comments coming out of the club.

I should add that he said it was an ankle injury, then following day the club said it was a calf tear.
At the time I think it was ignored as people thought it was a smokescreen for the Newcastle negotiations.

Congratulations - you've unearthed an error in the 11v11.com website!!

A few years ago I was checking the Watford v Stoke head to head section and noticed this:

    upload_2022-8-27_11-58-46.png

For some reason it didn't occur to me to find out why there was no replay for a drawn tie - now I know why...:emoticon-0148-yes:

And now I'll probably never trust the website again...:(

BTW - that 2-0 defeat at the top of the list, our first ever match against them, is the only time I've ever been to Stoke to watch us play.

Been to Stoke several times including a 4-0 drubbing at the Victoria Ground. However, it is a favourite away day, the first goal up on here being a particular favourite...
