Ox, Keita, Matip are always out. We can’t afford passengers like that. Jota and Jones also poor injury record.

The problem is when Nunéz comes back, he could get injured straight way and we’re back with the same problem, Bobby in his position which is achieving nothing.

Hmmmm we've not got the players to play 4-3-3
The press is no longer working
The players look like strangers to each other

Maybe, just maybe we shouldn't be trying to play the same way.

If we our condemned to 4-3-3 high press football regardless of personal we are seriously in for a struggle.

I find it odd from klopp though who took our malfunctioning team and made something great, flexibility should be key.

How many of his lofted cross field balls actually got to the destination today? One? So poor, guy thinks he’s ****ing Pirlo at the minute and needs to reign it in and get back to basics

It’s a worry that we keep going behind. Making it twice as hard to win games of football. Is it 7 games in a row that we’ve gone behind now? 6 before we were unbeaten but was only a matter of time that we’d lose one by doing that.

Not sure why we keep starting so slowly. It’s like team are trying to play like city and dominate possession and play death by passing football but we don’t have the players to do it.

Obviously midfield is an issue, but starts from the front. High line is great if team is pressing and not giving the opposition players time on the ball to play the passes but when not doing that, just leaves too much room and every player in the prem no matter what team they’re in has enough quality to play those balls if the forwards are making the runs.

Atm, teal just aren’t clicking. Is it a hangover from missing out on the league and CL last season?

Think we need to take a step back, try and just get couple of wins, back to back home games v Bournemouth and Newcastle. Try get a win in those before Merseyside derby and then hopefully we’ll have Nunez, Jota, Matip Keita back to add bit more experience and options

    My Ratings

Ally; 7 Could have been worse but for him

Trent; 2 Why pass to a player ten yards away when you can try a 60 yard Hollywood pass that gets cut out and leaves the team completely bollock naked?

Robbo; 5 Shatched at the ball again and again when getting forward.

Virgil; 3 Waiting for his season to begin. Utterly pathetic attempt to block Sancho. Embarrassing.

Jo Go; 6 Best defender by far - as soon as another CB is fit, get him in at RB and get Trent into midfield.

Milner 5 Epitomised our veterans' parade in midfield - he was further forward than Bobby half the time.

Hendo; 4 His close control in crowded areas is shocking - his first time passing to release forwards is abysmal. Remember that pass to Salah last year to make it 5-0? Flash-in-the-pan.

Elliott; 6 Energy in midfield and retained some possession.

Diaz; 7 Struggled so hard to win possession just to pass to... where are they? No support at all.

Salah; 6 Easily snuffed out in the first half. got a goal through dogged persistence (that we really didn't deserve).

Bobby; 3 False 9, false 8, false 6, false hope. Attrocious.

    Subs:

Fab; 6 Was he injured? You'd REALLy play Milner or Hendo instead?

Tsimi:4 Robbo didn't have a good game - until kos came on.

Carvalho; 5 Looking like another Joe Tex to me - skilful but lightweight.

Klopp ; 3 We're being overwhelmed with injuries, but Jurgen just won't change tactics nor formation. Baffling.

We’ve had some weird results this weekend. Leeds beating Chelsea, Newcastle getting a draw against City and us losing to the bottom placed team.

We didn’t start well and they took advantage. No doubt we will recover soon and with Nunes coming back we will start moving up the table. It’s only 3 matches in and the doom and gloom is crazy. We are still better than every other team except for City. Have belief.

Personally, I will not over react. I would be more worried if we were getting done with a fully available squad.

However, the foundation of our team has been built on a very functional and structural midfield. Their core responsibility is to provide cover by switching to positions to keep shape and also provide high pressing to recover the ball upfield.

When all these break, the defence is exposed and the attack cannot function effectively. It is easy to pick one or two players and single them out but when we do not play to our abilities in the midfield it is game over. Compare the options City have in their midfield and you start seeing the massive gap between the squads in a key position DM. They have Rodri and Philips and we have Fab and Hendo. Over a league season, these are the fine margins we will have to overcome.

The biggest issue for me is we are being outworked by most teams and this is when the deficiencies of a technically limited midfield gets exposed. I hope we can find a solution soon as there are other teams primed to take our position this time round unlike 2020/21.

It’s ok lads - the first 3 results don’t happen if Milner or Hendo start those games. Once they start more games, their leadership and experience will ensure that performance levels will not dip

There are also rumours that Zone 7, the AI program to help predict injuries and manage mins is causing issues. We suffered so many injuries already so and we also let go of the club doctor ... something isn't right in the background.

Usually it takes a month to 6 weeks to grind out of this crap.

I didn't see anything from anyone to suggest they are in any sort of proper season form or fitness.

Utd faded in that game but our level were so poor that it was more utd lack of confidence to score 6 that hurt them

Henderson looked 40. He was on his own as milner thought he was messi.

Tactically we have got it all wrong as we've zero depth of defense, we've no ideas how to get a tune out of Diaz and salah.
