No team sheet so difficult to say. The lad who scored the hat trick was sharp, as was our No10, lovely ball control by him in the box beating four players before chipping a delightful ball in for Simms ? to nod home. Our no. 11 looked lively too scored one and hit the post with another. Good 5th goal too, direct from a free kick by our No. 5.
From one to eleven we were better then Watford and every lad was confident on the ball, strong in the tackle and full of running. Personally I thought it was great.

Covil was the no.10, Hall was no.11.

Glad the Covil had a decent game after a tricky few weeks

Was Covil more involved? I went to the Cambridge game and he hardly got a touch. I actually thought Wood was the pick of the young lads that day, so surprised he hasn't made the bench

If Covill was No 10 tonight, and I thought it was him but no-one around me knew either then he has something. The fourth goal he made was spectacular, Watford just could not get the ball off him.

That's good, he clearly has something for Shota to show such faith in him

They seem to have gone for it with the academy transfers too. I read Leckie, who we got from Burnley had interest from a number of Championship clubs, Simms seems a right gem, Covil must have something about him too

Simms, and this was the first time I'd seen him, reminded me of a young Chris Chilton, in his physic and the way he carried himself all over the field. He was subbed before the end for Hinds and received a good ovation. He made the second goal simply by his presence in the box, two Watford defenders dithered about either heading it back to the keeper or hoofing it away and he stepped in and headed it over the lot of them then tapping it into an empty net.

A friend’s lad was playing with Simms at Oldham, he’s been banging on about how good he is for ages. He thinks he’ll go far.

Merthan Acil was there again tonight. I'm not sure what his official role actually is, but it's good to seem them take such an interest in all aspects of the club

Well it sound like Covil got a hat trick if this was the case it might go someway to quieting the stick he gets on this forum from some posters. Good to see

He didn't, it was Jim Simms that got the Hat trick, Green and Hall got the other two. Covil did play very well though.

Simms looks a proper larker. Strong old fashioned striker.
