So you've given it to Leeds already, then? <whistle>

City’s to lose. No other team will be consistent enough over the course of the season.

The pundits always go with the obvious in their predictions. Rather like sheep. In a season with Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal, and teams like Notts Forest and Chelsea also spending large amounts not to mention teams like Brentford and Brighton. How boring and pointless just to predict the top two teams from last season. Why do we need them, we can all predict such stuff.
And I have 15 years of running a prediction league, I'll have you know <laugh>

On offside. Sorry for any confusion here

Currently they draw the manual line to within 1 pixel and then add the lines shown for broadcast, which are actually what is used for the decision, not the initially drawn lines. This adds some element of advantage to the attacker as the broadcast lines are slightly thicker and therefore add more margin when it comes to split second freeze frames. But we do see the final image used for the decision.

The new system I was referring to, which is AI-powered, was trialled at the Club World Cup this year and I believe will be rolled out to other competitions 2023/24. It may also be used in Qatar.

They're probably right, though. Hard to see past City.
There could be a shock, of course, but you wouldn't predict one as a pundit.

They are in the entertainment business and it's not very entertaining to all predict the same.

Only two teams have got at least 90 pts min
in the past few seasons, more than once.
That is Citeh and the Poool.

Therefore only logical to assume at least one
of them will do so again. Whether that will
suffice to be champions, time will tell.

But they’d look silly to dismiss the two obvious favourites. Especially Man City who have won 4 out of the last 5 and signed Haaland and Alvarez.

There can always be a shock, look at Leicester in 15/16 but atm we are in an era dominated by Pep and Klopp.

Then why aren't they beating United? Football is not about logic.

They get paid enough to take a gamble and not to be boring.

Asking Luis Diaz to turn up in a big game is like asking Gemma Collins to go on a diet… it ain’t happening, cuz.

If you're happy to listen to boring pundits then that's up to you. I don't bother.

Gary Neville at his eloquent best

This has to be a sign of what's to come, because what we've seen tonight, we haven't seen tonight.

Then why did they not beat Spurs last season ??

    "Football is not about logic."

You confuse logic (fallacy) with statistics
(one game does not a whole league campaign predict) .
