Sky Sports news showed his press conference after the match, he had a go at the new signings for not being up to speed for the Premier League and saying they can't play with the physical stuff. Surely it's down to the recruitment and then the training to get the players in and up to speed

 

Yeah, he's a very good player. He'll give them that control in midfield that they've been lacking.

So when do they expect Coventry to start playing their home games?

 

They're aiming to play Preston on the last day of the month. Although it's not their fault, it's a disgrace what has happened. It's them that will suffer, it's always hard making up games.

 

Why's that?

 

I was reading about it last week and the stadium belongs to the Rugby club. Coventry FC are only the tenants. They pay to rent it for the day whenever they're at home. The maintenance and upkeep is the responsibility of the rugby club.

I suppose you could still say it's Coventry's fault because they selected that stadium to rent.

 

They've spent money on players and skimped on a solution to their stadium problem. They knew it was a rugby pitch, that it was to be used in the Commonwealth Games and that Wasps don't have the money to relay the pitch.

It's a gamble to get to the PL at the expense of those who maintain a stadium/pitch and run their club properly.

 

I agree with you on this, Smug. They should have done their due diligence.

I guess I'll retract what I said earlier, it is their fault.
