You are alot more stable under Bates than we ever were under Briatore. I think we changed manager 9 times in less than 2 seasons. He also signed a load of rubbish Italian nobodies and insisted that they played. Take it from us, you'd be begging to have Bates back.

Before Ridsdale wen to Plymouth, I'd have chosen him in the hope that he'd learnt from his previous mistakes. But I guess Bates would marginally edge it now.
