Need to ship a shed load of anti-depressants down West tonight.
So much ball with so little impact.

The Baggies put in a strong showing today. Puts our point in mid-week into a bit of perspective too.

Burnley throwing away a good lead too.

Definitely going to be a fun, topsy turvy season.

I was genuinely going to try and cheer them up by posting the "Rum and Coca Cola" song on their music thread. Then just at the last minute I remembered there's a line that says "working for the Yankee dollar'. So I thought better of the idea

In all seriousness Coventry shouldnt have any games in hand. The opposition should be given the 3 points. Pathetic situation.

Swansea are sh!t there will be plenty of opportunities to laugh at them.

The deluded Jacks want another manager sacked now.

They really are the most self entitled fan base.

The Coventry situation is absurd. If they cant fulfil fixtures then the opposition should get the points.

no I dont want him sacked, more investment would be nice or I think we are going down (maybe), re Coventry why are they not made to play their games away with the field fiasco?

In fairness to the other CCFC was this situation not out of their control with use of their stadium for egg chasing in the Commonwealth Games, and resulting ruination of the pitch, the decision of the stadium owners and Games organisers? With no immediate plan in place for immediate restoration of the pitch.

This has put CCFC at an early season disadvantage and will see a fixture pile up especially with the loss of a month in November/December in for the Qatar World Cup.

It would have made sense for their first few home fixture venues to be reversed if the EFL had any vision. <doh>

You wont go down Musty. One thing you do have is strikers unlike us.

I agree. Coventry should have to fulfill their fixtures elsewhere.

I dont see why other clubs should have a fixture backlog as they cant run their club properly. If it was poor weather caused by football fair enough. But its not.

    The league should act.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing especially as it's difficult to comment on a situation until it has happened <laugh>.

I thought Birmingham was hosting the Commonwealth Games. Is there a shortage of stadia in Birmingham? Ok, perhaps Villa was a non starter with them being a Prem club, but Coventry are in the Championship as are West Brom and Birmingham City
The whole thing snacks of someone making money who has no interest in football or probably sport .
    Foresight was needed

It seems it was all held in Coventry.

Looks like Wasps own the ground with Coventry as tenants. Might be why they were open to a rugby tournament being held there. Easy when you've got your own posts.

Thankfully the eggers could barely fill a stand at the CCS and had to leave.

What a mess. Shouldnt have left Highfield Road. Tenants to eggers. Nightmare.

EFL were asked if it was possible but for some reason it was denied, something about ticketing and/or policing...............................just a load of bollocks really.

The issue is Wasps didn't do any maintenance during the close season, which would have strengthened the turf, then had 2 concerts on it and nothing done again before the CWG and all the buffaloes running rampant on it.

Wasps agreed to replace the pitch when we moved back as part of that agreement so basically are in breach of contract.

Hilts, you are being disingenious saying dock us points, the worst they can do is a hefty fine under their rules, as it was way out of our control.
Nobody from the club was allowed in during the CWG, due to increased security, so we didn't see the actual state of the pitch, unless you watched it on tv.

I'm usually the first to knock SISU for fugging the Club over, but this time it was out of their control.
