Just watching Oscar's last goal, great to see Tetteh looking up twice when running with the ball to see where Oscar was positioned, something Wilk's failed to do.
We're conceding to much possession. 32%, 23%, 31% and 37% in our last four games. We're bound to end up on the back of hammering.
Mid table side at the moment… Most of you Big dogs knew that before yesterday.. Keep it real…and attend games. Allam’s GONE.
People may disagree, but I’d rather take a hammering now and again, if it means having less possession and actually playing with intent when we do have the ball. I mean, it’s gone okay so far hasn’t it?
I hope Bristol City have a really **** referee that awards a few dodgy penalties in favour of Cardiff. Shut Pearson up for once.
Agreed, and was shot down for suggesting such a thing. Neither of the wins were convincing, but points makes prizes. Once the injured players are back it will be like another brand new team again, but still needs to bed in. Lots of work still to do.
I still say we are going up as Champions so **** yea all Don't believe me? Well to put it into context I say that every single season. So if I take a random sample of, lets say the last 2 seasons, I've been right 50% of the time. So that means I'm due to be right again this season, This time next year Rodney, we'll be.......Premier League!
This is my worry. Don't want to kneejerk to one result, but it's now three performances that are a bit of a worry (arguably could throw PNE in as well) where the opposition has dominated the chances but just not finished them. Hopefully as injured players start coming back this will normalise.
To be honest though Chazz, Coyle was basically holding hands with Fig and leaving Diangana to do whatever he wanted on the wing. There were a couple of times where nothing came of it but I was sat scratching my head at Coyle's shape and positioning. Then Diangana hit the bar and Coyle continued to ignore him. Was very strange viewing.
Coyle seems to want to stay narrow and keep the back 4 tight and is slow to get out to a winger who has received the ball. Whether he has been told to do that, or that is his way of defending I am not sure, but this allows the player room to cut in and then he tries to stop them rather than going out to him to stop the cross.
Can’t believe how many bodies we have in the box again but none pressed out for the shooters and the opposition play 5 a side through us . This happened under Mcann we defend very narrow so wingers , wing backs get way too much time and space . We obviously rely on numbers to stop goals!!!
That’s what I mean Syd that’s a formation and he’s told to do that It’s up to Shota to tweak it isnt It Coyle is playing under orders
Agree it needs sorting out, Shota needs to be giving better instruction. I don't know why Shota wouldn't have seen this happening and yelled out at him mid-game, but hopefully it's corrected for Cov.
I sort of agree, but there's also the context of the opposition in those three games as well. We've just played WBA, Norwich, and Burnley, three teams with Premier League budgets and players. We were expected to be on the backfoot for large parts of those games and were, yet we took four points from those games. Any team in the league is going to be under pressure from them, from our point of view it was "by any means necessary". We played a lot more openly against WBA, perhaps buoyed by the previous two results and ended up getting battered. Against the likes of Rotherham, Coventry, Reading and other teams with actual Championship squads, we'll no doubt see a lot more of the ball.
