no one believed he was retired in the first place because he still had his belt, the clown.

Fun fact about Hulk Hogan, he was offered a cooking grill endorsement but declined and took on some kind of sports energy drink instead. Anyway they offered the grill to some bloke called George Foreman, he took it. Not sure what happened to George after that.

Decided against staying up to watch the fight (started at 1am here) and glad I didn’t. Predictable win for Usyk and surely retirement beckons for AJ. He’s like the Andy Murray of boxing - good, but a level below the top fighters

Last night I posted saying there would be no shame in AJ retiring now. However Slimey Eddie said he wouldn't be. Just been reading he signed a 100 million deal with Dazn streaming. So no way is he calling time. I've seen some stuff online about Joshua getting criticised after last night by "Armchair fans",They sold out and took the Saudi money, and the 100 million streaming deal, so out the window go any morals. I'm sure Joshua doesn't give a ****e what people say. Has anyone mentioned screaming "Wait" at the photographers at the side of the ring while he took the chance to hold up the Ukrainian flag..... for a photo opportunity. Last night everyone around the world would have been saying stuff like "good effort, unlucky, best man won, no shame in loosin", then he decided to pick up a microphone again. So afterwards no one really spoke about Usyks absolutely beautiful boxing, or AJs effort. Instead it was all about Joshua thinking he was CM Punk. I used to have alot of time for him, I have none anymore. Why are most, not all,(Fury is class)English champions, Boxing , Racing etc very unlikeable? Arrogant? There's Usyk, absolute best in the world, comes across as a top bloke, humble and not a hint of dickhead about him. You can be the best and not be a bellend. Win with class, loose with dignity.

That behaviour after the fight was cringeworthy, like watching David Brent embarrassing himself. Usyk watching him thinking wtf dude.

Personally thought AJ put up a decent effort last night, but was outclassed. The lad showed heart though. Anyone who steps through the ropes has heart and guts IMO. Not sure he deserves all the disrespect he gets, but everyone is entitled to their view. I reckon most who have walked in a boxers shoes will respect the boxing element.

All the after fight stuff - that is fair game for criticism mind.

Even the after fight stuff, people are going overboard about (I thought it was massively cringeworthy mind).

He's been under a lot of scrutiny for such a long time, taking criticism, putting so much pressure on himself and his dreams just ended despite doing the best he could. He was far too emotional and did some daft stuff. Even when making a twat of himself (throwing the belts was ridiculous), he still praised Usyk in his rants saying that he had much better skills and was the better boxer.

He's not articulate enough to say it well, it was highly misjudged and some of it was even a bit out of order, but 2 blokes have just been punching each other for half an hour and some stuff boiled over.

People don't want a "fake media persona" but they don't want a real person either, who's ego was bruised, passion hurt and showed some flaws like any human. No, from this moment, they're able to declare that "the mask has slipped" and he's a really horrible person. I'd say that if anyone took a snap shot of our flawed moments and judged that to be the "real us", most of us would look like ****s.

Interesting. Richie Woodhall had it 7-5 to Usyk. Bunce 7-5 to AJ.

I had 7-5 Usyk. Some rounds very close and could have gone either way in the early rounds. Most of the crowd in our boxing gym had usyk 3 or 4 up though.

If we do get Fury Usyk I hope they do it at Wembley. I will be there again. Fury White was an amazing atmosphere, Fury Usyk would be off the scale.

He's always been a prick. Schoolyard bully to drug dealers enforcer. We seen the real AJ last night. It was all about him in Usyk's and Ukraine's moment of glory.

Why not give him some credit for turning his life around rather than holding it against him a decade later? He might not be perfect, he might be quite unlikeable, but he made a great effort to turn his life around and did so successfully.

He doesn't deserve an ounce of credit for the way he went on after the fight. His good performance was completely overshadowed by his behaviour.

It's still rumoured that he's still a knob behind closed doors.

He's stopped selling crack to kids, though. Top guy.
