Way to work... my arse https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/aug/20/boris-johnson-way-to-work-jobs-scheme-failure
A tad simplistic in that you have ignored the rate of circulation. I recommend you read up on the M1, M2 and M3 Money Supply theory. And your statistic that there are 2.5 million Millionaire in the UK, comes as something of a surprise to me, Just using crude mental arithmatic and assuming the adult populaton to be around 50 million. that means one in tweny are millionaires. IF we stretch things and further assume that these 50 million represent 25 million households that would mean on in ten households. are that well off. (This example is for demonstration purposes ONLY) All Members of The LabourParty SHOULD back Miss Truss to be next PM. The pain that her policies will produce is likely to be only short term as the uproar will ensure an early election where Labour will more that reverse the losses made, last time out. Then we will get the chance to see if it is a change for the better.
There was an interesting article by a old school Tory, saying years before he became PM it was obvious from a first impression of Bonko that he could never be suitable for high office. That impression was proved correct. Although many tories convinced themselves their first impression was wrong... Now with Truss, her path from Liberal and anti-nuclear, from being a remainer to arch brexiter, shows she always has had huge ambitions and will say and do anything to satisfy that ambition, not believing any of it. Her present economic plan about tax etc are clearly mad and unworkable. Hopefully she knows that ( although I am not too sure) and is saying things to suit the tory OAPs that are now voting for her to be PM. Will she be a bigger disaster than Bonko, their is a fair chance she will be. That may be good for Labour's election hopes, but if you are one of the large majority with low income, life is about to get a whole lot worse. Generally most tories first impression of Truss was that she was a joke, they are now trying to convince themselves they were wrong. Or even to suck up for a job
This government man…MP moaning about sewage being dumped into the sea when she herself voted against a bill to make it a legal duty for water companies to reduce them.
I’d honestly rather have Sunak and less suffering even though it would still mean plenty of suffering because he’s shown us he’s crap
Do you think the liar is cunning enough to let truss liar II in then look to replace her after the next election? Trump esq
when people are accountable for what they do (ie: the workers) we tend to see a steady production at a high standard...when they are no longer accountable (ie: the owners) we see a lot of feck-ups similar to those by the bankers that get rewarded with massive bonus payments. when those same owners continue to feck up we start to see redundancies on the 'shop floor', take overs requiring signing of new contracts on a lower wage while those at the top somehow manage to keep the P.A. the advisors, the lower management who actually know the job and the wages/bonus' they have become used to. take the water company at present, ready to hand out bans because for years they neglected the pipelines and allowed flooding to keep happening (blocking off all the small streams that funneled a lot of water to the rivers and onto the reservoirs) losing millions of gallons daily but you just know the fat cats will not be on bans and will still get the handouts at the end of the year along with the shareholders who, most likely, will not have had to put up with the dry weeks...guess where any needed cuts will be made.
...and once again the tories are voting amongst themselves for our new 'leader', how many times is this since they won the election with camoron? if a PM is deemed that sh1te that votes of no confidence are entered and action is taken to remove them then that parliament should be immediately dissolved and a coalition of all other parties be introduced until a general election can be held...this coalition will have limited powers and will be unable to introduce new laws etc.
This was over 100 years ago and politicians of both hues have done nothing. Ps they are all talk atm and very little action.
Liz Truss is promising a crackdown on strikes. As she bravely says these strikers are nothing but grasping radical activists holding the country to ransom. Come on Liz, bring these Commies to their knees! please log in to view this image
Watching TV this morning, conservative party wishing they'd kept Boris apparently. Careful what you wish for comes to mind. How they think they can run a country i don't know.
