West Brom looked crap at the start of that game, so it was an opportunity at that time which makes it frustrating. Unfortunately they struck first and then vitally got the second quickly in the second half. And of course we lost Tufan early. Norwich were likely the best of the three favourites we've played so far, but we won that one. Hopeful of getting revenge in the return fixture, if we have players fit anyway.
I know WBA blew us away for twenty or so minutes after half time, but other than that it felt like a pretty even game. We hit the crossbar twice and looked decent, even though we went flat for a while when Tufan limped off. and it was an obvious foul throw for their opener.
Goals change games. If Oscar tucks that early chance away, we probably win the game. Their first 3 goals all felt a bit lucky for one reason or another. I thought they were alright, they were better than us but not particularly special.
Would we have been happy with 8 points and lying 6th with the fixtures we’ve had after 5 games, I know I would have taken it.
