    Ah, tha's better, Chipstead won it easily. A weird day for me; two selections - one stone last, and the other a winner. Both were favourites. :(

    From next month the Ebor won't be able to claim it's the richest staying handicap in Europe (although retains its place as Britain's). Have you seen the whopping prizemoney increase re the The Irish Cesarewitch?!? Really eye popping. Its prize fund has been boosted from €80,000 (2021) to €600,000 (2022). 'The Friends of the Curragh Irish Cesarewitch', as it will be known for the next three years, will be run over 2m on September 25 (2022) with a maximum of 30 runners rated no higher than 110. The race is open to horses 3YO+.

    I wonder if York will fight back in 2023 with a prizepot increase to reclaim their title?!?
