I think he is somewhere in between...but we certainly should be looking to have someone else starting.

Makes the captaincy a really odd choice.

Tetteh is doing a job for us. Not his best position but perfectly adequate. Might be some games we could play them as a more traditional two up front.

I think Tufans injury shows exactly why Coyle is club captain. Doesn't mean he has to play every week

The score line doesn’t flatter us either but there’s weird results in the early days of the season. Reading got beat 4-0 by Rotherham then beat Blackburn 3-0. Things start to level out after 10 games and you get a good understanding of who will be pushing for automatic or playoffs and who will be fighting relegation.

Coventry have hardly kicked a ball in anger, so one to target.

I don't think making one of the worst players (in the srarting 11) captain is a good move. Has to be a guaranteed starter (barring injuries).

Bit of a shambles when (like we should be) look to improve on the position and our 'captain' does not start a game for 38 games.

Disappointing result, obviously, but I'm not too disheartened.

We've run out of players, Shota was left with nothing in the way of options from the bench.

    These things happen.

I thought it was a selling point for Greaves to sign the new contract that he'd be the captain for the majority of the season

I thought it should have been Greaves anyway

Burnley drew from 3-1 up. Boro lost again. Watford drew. Swansea were heavily fancied but are struggling. I don't think theres a stand out team in the division atm, with the exception of maybe Sheff U.

If we get a few more signings in and the injuries back we have every chance.

4-0 after 70 mins could have been really ugly... I think it says much for where we are that we ended up getting to 5-2...

I think we're giving the role of captain on the pitch too much importance. Character and setting an example behind the scenes is of more importance.

Of course you still absolutely do need leadership on the pitch. But that goes beyond someone with a band round their arm.

    Imo
