I'm absolutely gobsmacked that we've gone into half time ahead. Stoke aren't particularly good and their defence/keeper look like they'll leak goals, but they've absolutely ran this game in midfield and we look completely disorganised. All 3 bookings of ours were deserved and stupid - Matete's was stupid by Batth rather than himself. Patterson was forced to make a save early on due to his terrible positioning. He's so indecisive about the way he commands his area that he often just drifts into no mans land. Embleton was non existent except for a couple of decent corners and O'Nein has looked way out of his depth against Delap. Clarke wasn't in the game, but then had that moment of brilliance that we know he's capable of. What a ball by Clarke though and a superb finish from LND, even if the keeper should have done better. Stewart is worth his weight in gold to us. Let's hope we come out better second half. I'd be looking to get Wright and Evans on asap.
Reading the Stoke Oats? They ate not very keen on their keeper. There MAY be a question of Patterson command of high balls... but he is a good shot stopper, I reckon he would have saveD LND goal?
